GUILDWARS – What’s a Gruul Deck meant to do!
Right then Gruul, what kind of a deck should I build?
Well the obvious one is aggro, so I tried to build an aggro deck first to see
what I could come up with and what the deck consisted of was:-
4x dryad sophisticate
4x silhana ledgewalker
4x gruul guildmage
4x scorched rusalka
4x scab clan mauler
4x skarrgan pit skulk
4x moldervine cloak
4x stormscale anrch
4x cackling flames
4x seal of fire
10x mountain
8x forest
2x skarrg rage pit
the deck seemed to work well and was very consistent, but I left this deck
as a fall back.
The next deck I
tried to build was burn, but without having cards like char
and demonfire there is just not enough burn spells in
the ravnica block to
make a deck.
This meant I still only had my fall back deck.
So what next? I thought and thought for about an hour
until finally I
thought of the deck I chose to use I call it Unblocka-gruul
4x dryad sophisticate
4x silhana ledgewalker
4x frenzied goblin
4x skarrgan pit skulk
4x moldervine cloak
4x wurmweaver coil
4x beastmasters magemark
4x dowsing shaman
4x seal of fire
4x gruul guildmage
10x forest
8x mountain
2x skarrg rage pits
it works well and is more consistent than the aggro deck for some reason
and with wurmweaver coil as the only rare the deck is
not going to exactly
break the bank.
