MTGTwincast was founded in June 2006 by Anthony Skinner. The site originated from the Coventry Magic the Gathering forum, started by Chris Harrold, MTGTwincast's forum administrator.

The aim of our site is to promote Magic the Gathering in the United Kingdom. By bringing all the various clubs and organisations together, which are spread across the country, we believe that we can grow the organised play system and make sure the UK has a player base to rival the United States and Japan.

We have been lucky enough to gain the support of many of the top Magic the Gathering retailers in the United Kingdom. This has enabled us to run many exciting competitions and keep interest high.
